Amy Tiffany Hoehne, 38, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at her home in Harrisburg.
Born September 3, 1978 in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Malvina Chiron and John Hoehne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Green and her sister, Anita Green.
After moving to Harrisburg, she took some courses at HACC, but mostly, her life was dedicated to caring for her loving family.
Amy loved cooking, successfully making up her recipes as she went along. At one time, she had a dream of opening a stand at the market. She watched the ID Network continuously and was a big fan of all the criminal dramas. Although the Eagles were her favorite team, she would always cheer on the Patriots and Steelers, showing her support for her family’s teams. She passed her love of horror movies on to her son, and appreciated the humor of Kevin Hart.
Outspoken and sometimes brutally honest, she was nonetheless also always generous; offering her help to any human or animal in need. Her family will miss her kindness and sense of humor.
She is survived by her beloved fiancé, Billy Leach; her children: Emere D. Hoehne (and his wife, Imanie), Harrisburg, Anita M. Harris, at home, and Shawn Maurice Harris, at home; her siblings: John Hoehne, Tucson, AZ, Sonny Hoehne, Harrisburg, Jessica Montelone, Harrisburg, Matthew Hoehne, Mesa, AZ, Shannon Hoehne, Pottstown, Joanna Green, Harrisburg, Hank Hoehne, Pottstown, Aaron Hoehne, Pottstown, Adam Hoehne, Pottstown and Eugene Hoehne, Pottstown; her precious granddaughter: Nia E. Hoehne; her adopted brother: Lee Frye, Harrisburg; many nieces and nephews, especially her niece, Breana Collins; aunts, uncles and many, many dear friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Kimmel Funeral Home, 2001 Market Street, Harrisburg. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
