Andrea Olivieri, 76, Paxtang, ascended into Heaven on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Hershey Medical Center.
Born October 17, 1941 in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Juan Olivieri and Maria Soto, and was also preceded in death by her daughters, Luz Maritza Colon and Luisa Andujar Colon and several brothers and sisters.
Andrea and her husband, Teodoro, moved to Pennsylvania in 1986, seeking a better life for their children. A devout Christian, she attended Iglesia Juan 3:16, Harrisburg, with her son. She devoted her life and love to her family; cooking, knitting, and caring for them all to her final days. Her love of music and dancing, her wonderful smile, and her joy of life will be dearly missed.
Surviving is her beloved husband of 61 years, Teodoro Colon; 8 children, Isidoro Colon, York, Juan Raymond Colon, Harrisburg, Maria Teresa Colon, Harrisburg, Carmen Virginia Colon, Harrisburg, Maria Asuncion Colon, Harrisburg, Isaias Colon, Harrisburg, Lydia Esther Colon, Hartford, CT and Alexandra Rivera Colon, York; her brother, Juan Olivieri, Rochester, NY; 28 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; her dear friend, Blanca Molina; nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Kimmel Funeral Home, 2001 Market Street, Harrisburg, with the Reverend José Enrique Cruz officiating. There will be a viewing at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until the service time. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
