Audell M. (Cole) Adams, 81, formerly of Harrisburg and Camp Hill, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.
Born January 12, 1936 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Vance and Ella (Jameson) Cole and was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, John E. Adams, Jr., who passed away in 2016 after 61 years of marriage.
Audell was a 1953 graduate of William Penn High School, Harrisburg and was retired from AMP.
Audell always put her faith first and was very active in the church throughout her life. She was a former member of the Camp Hill United Methodist Church, and was currently a member of Sell Chapel at Masonic Village. She loved to sing in the choirs of both churches.
She was also a former member and past matron of the AREME Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 33 before transferring to the Elizabethtown Chapter 407 after she and John moved to Masonic Village.
Audell was an avid tennis player when she was younger, and was an accomplished painter. Audell was a beloved friend to many, wife, mother, sister and grandmother and was always cherished for her remarkable sense of humor and joyful smile.
Surviving is her son: Robert Adams (and his husband, Gerald Aguirre), San Francisco, CA; her daughter: Lisa M. Hopkins (and her husband, Steven), Harrisburg; one brother: Samuel Cole (and his wife, Frances), Halifax; and 3 grandchildren: Jonathan Hopkins, Lauren Williams (and her husband, Nathan) and Meagan Hare (and her husband, Jeffrey); and many other family members and dear friends.
A memorial service and Eastern Star service will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Sell Chapel, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown. Friends will be received from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
