Betty Jane (Kitch) Aston, 93, Lower Paxton Township, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Hershey Medical Center.
Born April 17, 1927 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late John and Carrie (Collier) Kitch and was also preceded in death by her brothers: John, Albert, and Kenneth Kitch.
Betty was a graduate of William Penn High School, Harrisburg and was retired from Central Dauphin School District as a secretary.
She was the widow of Howard D. Aston, who passed away in 2000 after over 54 years of marriage.
A charter member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Harrisburg, Betty actively volunteered wherever she was needed in church. Mostly, she dedicated her life to caring for her family, with whom she loved travelling, especially to Bethany Beach.
Surviving are her daughters: Kathie L. Bisking (and her husband, Richard), Middletown and Judy L. Franklin (and her husband, Vinod), Harrisburg; 3 grandchildren: Lindsay Ann Aston Rose, Jordan Dale Aston Franklin, and Julia Ann Aston Franklin; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Friday, April 23, 2021 in her church, 4700 Locust Lane, Harrisburg, 17109 with the Rev. Jeffrey Fisher officiating. Burial beside her beloved husband will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. S. Ronald Parks officiating prior to the memorial service.
Covid-19 protocols of face coverings, temperature checks and social distancing will be required.
