Bradley A. Smith

Bradley Allen Smith of Lemoyne, PA, passed away on March 17, 2023 after an 18-month battle with Lung Cancer. He was 70 years old.

Brad was born to the late Samuel Smith and Muriel Smith (Sealover) on June 28, 1952 in York, PA. He graduated from Red Lion High School in 1970 and began his lifelong work in the telecommunications industry by working for the phone company. He later worked for Motorola and then Wireless Communications, where he retired as VP in December 2014 after nearly 45 years of working in the industry.

Work wasn’t Brad’s biggest passion in life; that title belonged to golf. He learned his love of golf from his dad at a young age, making his first of six holes-in-one at the age of 14. If he wasn’t on the golf course, you could find him watching the History channel; listening to ‘70s classic rock; and spending time with friends and family.

Brad is survived by his wife Ann P. Shover; his children, Megan Smith, Anderson (Laura) Smith, and Emily Smith; his sister, Sharon (Tom) Munson; his brothers Herb Smith, Keith Smith, and Kent (Melanie) Smith; step-children, Elizabeth (Tim), Michael (Erica), and Alexandra (Caleb); grandchildren, Louis, Vivian, Elizabeth, Smith, Beau, Archie, Jaxson, Mickey, and Beckett; and countless others, including his nieces, nephews, and many cousins. Brad was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Smith, his mother, Muriel Smith (Sealover), and his sister-in-law, Jeanette Smith (Downey).

A celebration of life will be held at West Shore Country Club at 12:30 pm on March 30, 2023.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to the American Cancer Society. Or use that money to have a beer or bourbon and play a round of golf in his honor.
