Brenda Marlin

Brenda (Williams) Marlin, age 82, of Harrisburg, gracefully departed this world on December 12, 2024, at Harrisburg Hospital.

Born on September 11, 1942, in Queens, Brenda was the cherished daughter of the late Richard Williams and Wilhelmina (Ceaser) Williams. She was raised in a devout Christian household, which instilled in her deep faith and a love for community involvement. Throughout her life, Brenda found joy in attending various churches in Harrisburg and actively participating in church activities, embodying the spirit of service that she held dear.

Brenda found simple pleasures in life; she delighted in watching "The Price is Right" and tuning into TBN, particularly enjoying the inspiring messages from T.D. Jakes. One of her greatest joys was shopping, with Walmart being her favored destination, where she often spent hours amidst the aisles, embracing the thrill of finding something special.

Surviving are her children: daughter Cheryl Green, with whom she resided; her sons: Leroy Green, New York, Ralph Green, New York, Barry Green, New York, Ronnell Marlin, North Dakota, Fitzroy Marlin, North Dakota, Hakim Marlin, Florida, Rasheed Marlin, Texas, and Chance Marlin (Pearlita), Virginia; her brothers: Richard Williams (Rose), Florida and Gary Williams (Stuart Brier), North Carolina; one niece and one nephew and their families.  Brenda’s heart swelled with pride for her 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and fulfillment throughout her life.

A memorial service to honor Brenda’s remarkable life will be held from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM Saturday, December 21, 2024 at R.G. Ortiz Funeral Home, 22 1st Avenue, Manhattan, New York.
