Dolores Mae Pizzingrilli, 83, formerly of Hershey, passed away at Holy Spirit Hospital on Sunday, May 17, 2015.
Born November 17, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Helen (Rerher) Fox and was a graduate of John Harris High School. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Orlando “Jack” Pizzingrilli and a son, Alan. Originally from Harrisburg, they lived for many years in Winter Park, Florida where they raised their three sons. Dolores was an active member of the Winter Park community, volunteering at school activities and an avid fan at all her son’s sporting events. She was also a member of the Union Deposit United Methodist Church, Hershey.
Surviving is her brother, Clyde Fox, Jr. of Chambersburg; and two sons, Steve (and wife Kim) of Mechanicsburg and Bill of Reading. She is also survived by her four grandchildren who were her pride and joy: Ryan, Cole, Michael and Kelly along with five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Dolores was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished time spent with her family. She was a thoughtful and caring person who always put the needs of others ahead of her own.
A Memorial service will be held 11:30 AM Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Kimmel Funeral Home, 2001 Market Street, Harrisburg with the Rev. Gail Boyer, her pastor, officiating. Friends will be received from 10:30 until 11:30 on Wednesday. Burial will be held at Prospect Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
