Elias "Baby" Santa, Jr.

October 15, 1985 — August 9, 2019

Harrisburg

Elias “Baby” Santa, Jr., 33, Harrisburg, passed away Friday, August 9, 2019 at Hershey Medical Center following a sudden brain aneurysm . He joins in Heaven his beloved brother, Jose (Joe) Santa, who passed away in 2016 and his brother-in-law, Eugene Green III.

Born October 15, 1985 in Harrisburg, he was the son of Elias Santa, Sr. and Teresa Sanchez.

He was a 2004 graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School, attended the Computer Learning Network, York College and HACC; was a US Marine and was currently employed by Chewy.

Baby was a man of many talents and hobbies, all of them self-taught by reading books and watching documentaries. He enjoyed magic, shooting pool, MMA, and anything military or martial arts related, especially the Marines, Bruce Lee, Georges St-Pierre & Anderson Silva. He was a Yankees fan, but really preferred to cheer on whatever team his family was cheering on. He was the protector of his family and was passing that particular torch to his only nephew, Geno.

Kind and courteous to everyone and always one to help others, he continued that even after his passing by being an organ donor.

Baby had a great interest in the medical field; had received his Medical Assistant Certification from Computer Learning Network and planned to continue schooling to become a Physician’s Assistant. He was always “Doctor Baby” whenever his family and friends were sick.

Surviving is his father, Elias Santa, Sr.; his mother, Teresa Sanchez (and Hector Mendez); sisters, Maria Muth, Elisa Green (and Brenen Phillips), and Erin Whary; grandmother, Paula Rios; nephew, Geno Green; cousins, Zully Figueroa-Sanchez and Norma Colon; and many other family members and dear friends, all of whom will miss him greatly.

Services will be held 12:00 pm Friday, August 16, 2019 at Kimmel Funeral Home, 2001 Market Street, Harrisburg with Pastor Jesus Santos-Medina officiating. Viewings will be held Thursday from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Friday from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Harrisburg.

Because of his dedication to the US Military and the friends who served with him, the family requests that donations be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation, PO Box 368, Woodland Hills, CA 91365, or online at http://www.garysinisefoundation.org .
