Elizabeth M. “Betty” McCutcheon, 86, New Cumberland, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born December 12, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Jessie (Harlan) Tomlinson and was also preceded in death by two sons, Howard and Kevin, her granddaughter, Megan, and her brother, Joseph Tomlinson.
Betty was a retired cashier from Bowman’s Department Store and Kresge’s 5&10 in Harrisburg. She was a life member of the Harrisburg River Rescue and was an active volunteer with their bingo nights: setting up, handing out cards, and working in the kitchen. She loved playing bingo herself, watching professional wrestling and listening to Don Ho. Betty also accumulated many collectible bells and elephants. Mostly, she was a loving companion, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and dear friend to many.
Surviving is her companion of 51 years, George Green; 6 children, Kenneth McCutcheon (Barbara), Etters, Robert E. McCutcheon, Steelton, Linda L. McCutcheon, Mechanicsburg, Scott A. McCutcheon (Melody), Mechanicsburg, John H. McCutcheon, Etters and Thomas M. McCutcheon (and Beth Fager), Camp Hill; 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, May 5 2018 at Kimmel Funeral Home, 2001 Market Street, Harrisburg. Friends will be received from 10:00 am until the time of services.
