Horacio B. Cabezas, 35, Harrisburg, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at his home.
Born on Christmas Day 1982 in Salt Lake City, Utah, he was the son of José and Karen (Paskett) Cabezas and became a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints.
He lived in Salt Lake City until 1999, when the family moved to Maryland. It was there that he met his love, Elise Mendez. They were married on August 4, 2001 and ultimately moved to Harrisburg.
Horacio was a miracle baby; born 3 months premature, he fought to stay alive and was a fighter ever since. He and Elise had 4 beautiful children, and they were his life. He was the ultimate "Dad", telling bad jokes, laughing at everything, and doing whatever he could to make them laugh, also. He also loved his dogs: Guapo, who passed away, and his current dog, Freckles.
He was preceded in death by his brother in law, Evan Williams.
Surviving is his beloved wife: Elise Cabezas; his children: Hailey, Elisha, Eian and Hannah; his parents: José and Karen Cabezas, Covington, GA; his brother: Jason Cabezas, Cumming, GA; his in-laws: Zulma and Roderick Thomas and Hector Mendez and Teresa Sanchez; his sister-in-law: Helene Mendez; his cousin (and sister): Marina Mendez; nieces and nephews; and many, many other relatives and dear friends.
Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Kimmel Funeral Home, 2001 Market Street, Harrisburg where friends will be received from 10:00 am until the service. Burial will be in Paxtang Cemetery.
