Ian Alan ("Ebie") Messersmith

Ian Alan Messersmith, “Ebie”, age 28, of Enola, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Holy Spirit Hospital.

Born May 15, 1991 in Harrisburg, he was the son of Stephanie L. (Hamer) Lewis and Jeffery Alan Messersmith and was a graduate of Susquenita High School.

He was a painter with B&B Construction and was training to be a tattoo artist.

Ian was a loving son, father, fiancé, brother, grandson and a great friend to many. He was a talented artist, especially with graffiti art. He enjoyed working on minibikes and watching boxing and UFC, and was a great fan of Conor McGregor, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins, and all things Irish.

Loyal to a fault, he was a passionate person in his hobbies and his relationships, especially with his beloved son, Rory.

Surviving are his parents: Stephanie L. Lewis, Harrisburg and Jeffery A. Messersmith (and his wife, Eleanore), Marysville; his son: Rory A. Messersmith; his fiancée: Tiffany A. Forbes; his brothers: Zachary A. Messersmith, Marysville and Kiel A. Messersmith (and his wife, Alexis and son, Kiel, Jr.), Ft. Hood, Texas; his maternal grandmother: Deborah Ritchey, Harrisburg; his paternal grandmother: Lena Messersmith, Elizabethville; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends, all of whom will miss him greatly.

Funeral services will be held 12:30 pm Monday, June 17, 2019 at Kimmel Funeral Home, 2001 Market Street, Harrisburg where there will be a viewing from 11:00 am until noon.

Burial will be in Paxtang Cemetery.
