James C. Daubert, 84, Lower Paxton Township, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Osteopathic Hospital.
Born January 31, 1934 in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Saylor) Daubert , was a graduate of John Harris High School and was a retired printer from BSC Litho, Penbrook.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Henry; his son, Kenneth, his grandson, Adam; and his beloved wife of 22 years, Karen (Reside) Daubert, who passed away in 2004.
He was a Philadelphia Eagles fan, and enjoyed listening to Janis Joplin and Alison Krauss and Outlaw Country artists Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson. Eating out was a favorite pastime, especially at Olive Garden and Fiesta Mexico, where they knew exactly what he was going to order before he ordered it. He loved taking trips to Disney World; from his honeymoon in 1982 to trips with his family, it was truly the happiest place on Earth for him. He also treasured time spent with his family at the beach in Ocean City, MD and every year had a season pass to Hersheypark.
Jim was an amazing father who showed up at every tournament and game and was extremely proud of his children’s accomplishments. Although he was somewhat shy, he truly enjoyed being with his family and even being in crowds of people at their functions and at amusement parks.
He is survived by his children: Jeffrey A. Daubert (Laurie), Fishing Creek, James “Jimmy” M. Daubert (Terry), Amity Hall; Michael J. Daubert (Bettina Rupp), Astoria, NY and Jessie L. Colomer (Steven), Harrisburg; 5 grandchildren: Lucas A. Colomer, Alexander Daubert, Molli Daubert, Alicia Peck (Bill) and Jamie Kuhns (Kevin); one great granddaughter: Caitlynn Daubert; and his little dog, Kate, (who was named after his favorite character on the TV show, Castle).
