José R. Rodriguez-Cruz, 61, went to be with his Lord Thursday, January 19, 2017 at his home in Harrisburg.
Son of the late Ortencio Rodriguez and the late Ines Cruz, he was born February 5, 1955 in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, and moved to the States in 1998.
He was an employee of UPS and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Harrisburg. José loved watching old Westerns and listening to and singing (loudly) with Mexican music. He was always laughing and joking around, and his good humor and love will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. He will be always be remembered as a wonderful husband and father.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 32 years, Rosa Reyes; 4 daughters: Sheila Rodriguez, Allentown, Vanessa Cruz, Mechanicsburg, Yessenia Rodriguez, Camp Hill and Jessica Rodriguez, Camp Hill; 8 granchildren; brothers and sisters in Puerto Rico; and nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am Thursday, January 26, 2017 in his church, 1439 Market Street, Harrisburg, with Father Orlando Reyes officiating. There will be a viewing at the church from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Kimmel Funeral Home, Harrisburg, is handling arrangements.
