Jose L. ("Chopper") Vega

Jose L. "Chopper" Vega, 56, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Harrisburg Hospital.
Born June 22, 1959 in Carlisle, Jose was the beloved son of Alicia (Rodriguez) Vega and the late Pedro Vega. He was a hardworking man all his life; loved dancing; and was a generous and happy person to all who knew him.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his 5 sons: Justo Vega, Jose Vega, Joshua Vega, Jordan Vega and Jose Vega; 3 stepdaughters: Tara, Lucy and Nina; 2 brothers: Pedro "Papo" Vega (and his wife, Daily), Puerto Rico and Riscardo "Ricky" Vega (and his wife, Dalin), Harrisburg; one sister: Maria Judith Dominguez (and her husband, Roberto), Wade, NC; many grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and numerous relatives and friends, all of whom will remember him in their hearts forever.
Services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Kimmel Funeral Home, 2001 Market Street, Harrisburg, with Father Orlando Reyes officiating. There will be a viewing at the funeral home Monday evening, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, where the Rosary will be recited at 8:00. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Harrisburg.
