Keith Wayne Smith

Keith Wayne Smith, 64, of Wellsville, Pennsylvania, sadly passed away at his home on January 18, 2025, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Under hospice care, he was surrounded with many of his loved ones by his side. 

Born at York Memorial hospital on April 11, 1960, and raised in Red Lion, PA, he was the son of the late Samuel and Muriel (Sealover) Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bradley Smith.

Keith graduated from Red Lion Area Senior High School in 1978 and was employed as an EMT for Newberrytown for several years. It was here that he met his future wife, Jeanette Downy. He eventually went to work as a quality control inspector for Crescent Industries in New Freedom for nearly 20 years. His beloved wife passed away April 14, 2017, after 28 years of a happy marriage. Keith and Jeanie were totally devoted to each other and his greatest wish was to join her in heaven.

Keith will be deeply missed by his family - his brother: Herbert M. Smith, Asheboro, NC and his children, Jason, Nicholas and Katie; his sister: Sharon S. Munson (and her husband, Thomas), Phoenix, AZ and their children, Trevor and Tara; his brother: Kent W. Smith (and his wife, Melanie), Mechanicsburg PA, and his son, Ian (and fiancée, Lisa); and his late brother Brad's children, Megan, Anderson (and his wife, Laura), and Emily. He will also be missed by his many friends.
