Kevin A. Keim, 64, Lower Paxton Township, passed away unexpectedly at Hershey Medical Center on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 as the result of a motorcycle accident.
Born January 10, 1958 in Burlington, Vermont, he was the son of the late Lt. Col. Carl A. Keim and Janet (Armstrong) Keim; and was a 1976 graduate of Dauphin County Vo-Tech.
Kevin was a member of the Reading Motorcycle Club, the Penbrook American Legion and the Linglestown American Legion.
He truly loved riding his motorcycle and finding and restoring old bikes and classic muscle cars. He enjoyed attending the NHRA races at Maple Grove and other racetracks; going to car shows and concerts, especially the Rolling Stones and classic rock groups; and was a real “hot sauce” guy – going to many Barbeques and Chili Cook-offs. When he wasn’t watching his beloved Miami Dolphins play on TV, he was most likely tuned into Breaking Bad or an action movie.
Strong-willed, but kind, Kevin was loved for his giving and reliable nature and his down-to-earth and respectful personality. He had a deep love for animals, and recently lost two of his best buds: his dog, Abby and his cat, Misty.
Surviving are his brothers: Kelly Keim (and his wife, Nancy) and Daniel Keim (and his wife, Patty); 2 nephews; one niece; and his dearest friend: Brenda Burtner.
Per Kevin’s wishes, there will be no services. Instead, in his memory, do something kind. Be the person Kevin was. Take a friend out to dinner, go to a race, go to that concert you always wanted to see. Because tomorrow is never promised and life is short.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, Inc., 7790 Grayson Rd, Harrisburg, 17111or the Reading Motorcycle Club, 208 Jefferson Street, Oley, 19547.
Kimmel Funeral Home, Harrisburg, is handling arrangements.
