Lauren A. McClure

Lauren Marie Anzolut McClure (62) of Lower Paxton Township passed away September 18 in Harrisburg Hospital.

The eldest daughter of the late Richard A. Anzolut and Marian Hartwick Anzolut was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Andrew James McClure. 

She is survived by her son, Vincent A. McClure of Harrisburg, her brother, Richard A. Anzolut, Jr (Kim) of Avon, NC, her sisters Gayle E. Anzolut of Wormleysburg and Joyce A. Coleburn (Billy) of Blackstone VA, her brothers-in-law Daniel McClure of Lower Paxton and Timothy McClure of Hummelstown, and sister-in-law Dorothy Gurley of Palmyra, along with numerous members of the extended McClure and Hartwick families in Central PA.

Born in Harrisburg, she grew up in Bainbridge Township, Ohio graduating from Kenston High School and Youngstown State University before moving back in 1984. She began her professional career in public service with the City of Harrisburg during the first Reed Administration. She then served the PA House of Representatives and the PA School Employees Retirement System until her retirement in 2018. She was active in the local Democratic Party and was an avid traveler. She truly enjoyed time with her friends and family through her years.

A funeral service will be held at the W.O. Kimmel Funeral Home, 2001 Market Street, Harrisburg, on Saturday September 28th. The family will greet friends from 10:00 am until noon before the service. Interment at the Prospect Hill Cemetery will follow at a later date.
