Lorraine Funt Boyanowski

Lorraine Funt Boyanowski, 90, Harrisburg, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Homeland Center.

Born August 14, 1931 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Jane M. (Helman) Funt and was a graduate of York Springs High School.
Lorraine was retired from the former Pomeroy’s and was a longtime member of the Chapel Hill Church of God in York Springs.

An accomplished pianist, she often played her favorite hymns on the piano without the need for sheet music.  When she was younger, she rode her bike everywhere; and as an adult, she preferred walking over taking a car.  She was an avid reader of her bible and The Upper Room and enjoyed watching Lawrence Welk and Wheel of Fortune.

Her husband, Richard H. Boyanowski, passed away in 1991 after only seven years of marriage.  In addition to her parents and husband, Lorraine was preceded in death by her brothers:  Paul Goodman and Leland Guy Funt; her daughter:  Mary Shade; and a niece:  Pauline Gonzalez.

Surviving are 2 nieces:  Sharon Haederer (Carl), Harrisburg, and Marie Davis (Timothy), Fairfield and a nephew:  Paul Goodman, Jr. Harrisburg, and all their families:   a son:  Randy Boyanowski (Susan), Harrisburg; a daughter:  Debra Boyanowski, Annville; 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and her church family and friends.

Services will be held 12:00 pm Friday, June 24, 2022 at Kimmel Funeral Home, 2001 Market Street, Harrisburg, with the Rev. Dr. Randal R. Huber, her pastor, officiating.  There will be a viewing at the funeral home Friday from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm.

Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park.
