Marcella P. (Dade) Dunbar, 87, Paxtang, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020 at her home.
Born March 5, 1933 in Scrabble, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late George Dade and Willer Peyton Duffan and was a graduate of John Harris High School.
She was retired from Polyclinic Medical Center as a nurse’s aide. A conscientious employee, she dedicated her life to her work and caring for her beloved family. She was a bibliophile, and read many types of books; fiction and non-fiction, and encouraged her children to do the same.
She was the widow of Theran Dunbar, who passed away in 1998; and was also preceded in death by three brothers: George Dade, Herbert Dade, and William Dade.
Surviving are her children: Stephanie E. Graves, Harrisburg, Eugene A. Logan, Highspire, Thomas L. Logan, Harrisburg, John J. Logan, Harrisburg, and Mark E. Logan (and his wife, Stephanie), Harrisburg; one sister: Barbara Ann Dade, Sicklerville, NJ; 3 grandchildren: Jason Graves, Alan E. Logan, and Thomas Logan; great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members. Also surviving are her dear friends and “adopted” daughters: Rachel McCrae and Annette Durham.
Graveside services will be held 11:30 am, Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville with the Rev. Dr. Arthur L. Brown, Sr., officiating.
COVID 19 protocols of masks and social distancing will be required at the cemetery.
A memorial service will be planned when large gatherings are allowed.
