Margretta L (Funk) Lego

Following a lengthy illness, Margretta L. (Funk) Lego, 93, formerly of Pheasant Hill Estates, Susquehanna Township, passed away Thursday at Golden Living West Nursing Home, Camp Hill.

Born October 29, 1921 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late William P. Funk and Catherine (Zercher) Funk Hess; and was also preceded in death by her son: Philip Lego and his wife:  Nancy Lego; 4 brothers:  Sherman Funk, Charles Funk, Carl Funk, and Joseph Funk; and a sister:  Ethel Funk Stoeckig.

Her beloved husband, John M. Lego, Sr., passed away in 1987 after over 44 years of marriage.

Margretta grew up in Steelton, but moved to Harrisburg after the flood in 1936.  She loved playing bingo, crocheting and all crafts; and was an active volunteer during her time living at Pheasant Hill Estates.

Surviving are her children:  John (and his wife, Christine) Lego, Jr., Largo, FL and Catherine (and her husband, Terry), Kile, Camp Hill; 6 grandchildren:  Joseph Lego, David Lego, Daniel (and his wife, Jill) Kile, Holly (and her husband, Martin) Slusser, Matthew (and his wife, Kristen) Kile; and Nathaniel Lego; 11 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 11:30 AM Wednesday at Geigle Funeral Home, 2100 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, under the direction of Kimmel Funeral Home.  Friends will be received from 10:30 AM until the time of services.  Burial will be in East Harrisburg Cemetery.
