Nancy Carol Ricciuto, 73, died peacefully in her Harrisburg home on Tuesday, January 20, 2015.
Born in Harrisburg on October 2, 1941, she was the first child of Michael Angelo Ricciuto and Ruth E. (Nye) Rozankovic, both from Harrisburg. Nancy's father was killed during the battle for Iwo Jima in 1945 and her mother, Ruth died in Brush Valley, PA in 2003.
Nancy was married to Rick Rish from Brush Valley and lived there with her husband for many years, returning to Harrisburg after her husband's death in 2005.
She was a graduate of Central Dauphin High School, class of 1959. After graduating she attended cosmetology school and spent many years working as a beautician, including operating her own salon for many years. She also enjoyed going to the shore and playing the "one-armed bandits" at the casino. She will be missed by her friends, family and her cat, Blaze.
Surviving is her son: Chad E. Jones, Harrisburg, and grandson: Nichlas Ricciuto Jones; one brother: Michael (and his wife, JoAnn) Ricciuto, New Oxford, PA; one sister: Rhonda Alloway, Newark, Ohio; nieces: Kegan and K.J. Alloway; and nephew: Dr. Daniel (and his wife, Kristin) M. Ricciuto and their children, Isabel, Ethan and Sophia.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
