Reverend Luis Perez Feliciano

Después de años de luchar con valentía contra las enfermedades, el Reverendo Luis Pérez Feliciano, 86, Hummelstown, partió con su Señor y Salvador en su hogar el Viernes 15 de octubre, 2021. Su amada familia estaba a su lado cuando el entró por las puertas del cielo.

Nacio el 11 de Julio de 1935 en Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, era hijo del fallecido Emilio Perez Martínez y Sofía Feliciano y también fue precedido en la muerte por su hermano, Benjamín Pérez y su hermana Irís Pérez.

Conoció y se casó con el amor de su vida, Julia María Santiago De Leon, 1964 Vivio brevemente en Buffalo NY y regreso a Puerto Rico. En el 1982, trasladó a su familia a Buffalo NY durante diez años antes de establecerse en Harrisburg.

Desde los cincuentas hasta los setentas fué Evangelista y Dios lo usó con poder para sanar y ganar almas para Cristo que era su pasión. El completó un curso de tres años en el 1965 Estudiando las Sagradas Escrituras a traves del Instituto Bíblico Latino Americano de NY Inc. En el 1968 se graduó de la Escuela Comercial Fernandez en Puerto Rico. Fue Ministro Ordenado en el 1982 y capellan desde 1992. Reverendo Pérez tenía una devoción a orar, leer y meditar en las Sagradas Escrituras. Pastoreo iglesias en Puerto Rico y Estados Unidos. En el 2014 recibió un llamado para abrir una iglesia bajo el Movimiento Misionero Mundial, Iglesia Cristiana Pentecostés. "Escudo y Baluarte de la verdad." en Harrisburg.

Fue un buen esposo, padre, abuelo, bisabuelo, hermano y amigo y los momentos más gratos eran pasar tiempo con su familia.

Le sobrevive su amada esposa por 57 años, Julia María Santiago De León; 4 hijos: Luis Perez, Jr (y su esposa Denise), Rochester, NY, Eliezer Perez (y su esposa, Jessica), Reading, Vicky Mojica (y su esposo, Saul), Harrisburg, and Damaris Perez, Hummelstown; una hermana Nereida Caraballo, Guanica Puerto Rico; 13 nietos:Ruby Perez, Willow Perez, Eliezer Perez, Jr, Jessiel Perez, Karen Perez, Jadiel Perez, Jahziel Perez, Eliah Perez, Monica Muniz, Jomaris Santana, Jomayra Santana, Romeo Williams, and Samaris Williams; 3 bisnietos: Bello, Aubrey and River; primos, primas, sobrinas y sobrinos; y muchas familia y amigos.

El servicio será a las 11:30 am Viernes October 22, 2021 en Kimmel Funeral Home, 2001 Market Street, Harrisburg. Habrá un velorio en el funeral Viernes desde las 10:00 am hasta las 11:30 am. El entierro será en el Paxtang Cemetery.  Una comida seguirá a los servicios en el cementerio.

Se requerirá el uso de mascarilla dentro de la funeraria y en el cementerio.

Following years of bravely battling illnesses, Reverend Luis Perez Feliciano, 86, Hummelstown, went to be with his Lord and Savior at his home on Friday, October 15, 2021. His loving family was by his side as he entered Heaven’s gate.

Born July 11, 1935 in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Emilio Perez Martinez and Sofia Feliciano and was also preceded in death by his brother, Benjamin Perez and his sister, Iris Perez.

In 1964, he met and married the love of his life, Julia Maria Santiago De Leon, briefly moved to Buffalo and returned to Puerto Rico. In 1982, they moved their family to Buffalo for 10 years before settling in Harrisburg.

From the late fifties through the seventies, he was a passionate Evangelist to whom God gave the power for healing and gaining souls for Christ. He completed a three year course in 1965 of studies in the Holy Scriptures through the Latin American Bible Institute of NY Inc. and in 1968 graduated from the Fernandez Commercial School in Puerto Rico. An ordained Minister in 1982 and Chaplain since 1992, Reverend Perez was devoted to praying, reading and meditating on the Holy Scriptures and pastored churches in Puerto Rico and the United States. In 2014 he got a calling to open a church under the World Wide Missionary Movement Iglesia Cristiana Pentecostés "Escudo y baluarte de la Verdad" in Harrisburg.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend and his most cherished moments were spending time with his family.

Surviving is his beloved wife of 57 years, Julia Maria Santiago De Leon; 4 children: Luis Perez, Jr (and his wife Denise), Rochester, NY, Eliezer Perez (and his wife, Jessica), Reading, Vicky Mojica (and her husband, Saul), Harrisburg, and Damaris Perez, Hummelstown; one sister: Nereida Caraballo, Guanica, Puerto Rico; 13 grandchildren: Ruby Perez, Willow Perez, Eliezer Perez, Jr, Jessiel Perez, Karen Perez, Jadiel Perez, Jahziel Perez, Eliah Perez, Monica Muniz, Jomaris Santana, Jomayra Santana, Romeo Williams, and Samaris Williams; 3 great grandchildren: Bello, Aubrey and River; nieces, nephews, cousins; and many other family members and friends.

Services will be held 11:30 am Friday, October 22, 2021 at Kimmel Funeral Home, 2001 Market Street, Harrisburg. There will be a viewing at the funeral home Friday from 10:00 am until 11:30 am. Burial will be in Paxtang Cemetery.  A repast will follow services at the cemetery.

Face coverings will be required while inside the funeral home and at the cemetery.
