Robert W. “Bob” Capp, wonderful son, loving brother and uncle, and dear friend to many, age 51, of Penbrook, passed away suddenly Monday, April 3, 2017 at his home.
Born January 13, 1966 in Harrisburg, he was the son of Robert E. Capp and the late Ruth Elicker Capp. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon.
Bob was a 1983 graduate of Central Dauphin East High School. Following graduation, he attended Thompson Institute and started working on computers and electronics. Skilled at upholstering, painting and carpentry, he did many jobs for his friends and family.
He enjoyed watching football, especially when his beloved Green Bay Packers were playing. Although country and rock were his favorites, Bob appreciated many types of music.
An animal lover, he always had pets. Even in his backyard, the squirrels and birds knew when to expect him to feed them, to the point that the squirrels would scratch at the door, in case he forgot.
Although he only attended Penbrook Church of God on occasion, Bob accepted Christ long ago, and the thought of his being reunited in Heaven with his mother and sister brings his family some peace in their bereavement.
Surviving is his father, Robert E. Capp, Penbrook; his sister: Debra Pastula, Newport; 2 nieces: Jennifer Aquiler and Shannon Watkins; aunts, uncles and cousins; and many dear friends, all of whom will miss him greatly.
Services will be held 11:00 am Friday, April 7, 2017 at Kimmel Funeral Home, 2001 Market Street, Harrisburg, with the Rev. Stephen Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends will be received for a viewing at the funeral home Friday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.
Contributions in Bob’s memory may be made to Penbrook Church of God, 2733 Canby Street, Harrisburg, 17103.
