Ronald Lee Martin

Ronald Lee Martin, 74, Swatara Township, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Harrisburg Hospital.
Born April 7, 1949 in Carlisle, he was the son of the late Glenn K. and D. Jean (Miller) Martin and was also preceded in death by his sister:  Susan R. Bell.
He was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School and was a supply estimator for many local construction companies.
Following high school, Ron served his country during the Vietnam Conflict by joining the US Army.  He enjoyed traveling and watching British television shows and movies.  Mostly, he treasured time spent with his family, cooking and baking wonderful meals and breads.
Surviving is his wife:  Carol L. (Maugans) Martin; two step-daughters:  Carolyn Dorazio (and fiancé Matthew Leeper), New Cumberland and Debra Lingle, Bluffton, SC; his brother:  Brian K. Martin (and wife, Susan), Carlisle; and two grandsons:  Anthony Dorazio and Joshua Dorazio.
In accordance with his love of travel, his ashes will be scattered at sea during the family’s next cruise.  There will be no local services.
Kimmel Funeral Home, Harrisburg, is handling arrangements.
