Rosalbina "Rosita" Quincos-Aponte

Rosalbina “Rosita” Quincos-Aponte, 82, Mechanicsburg, falleció el jueves 27 de enero de 2022.

Nacida el 1 de marzo de 1939 en Tibana, Colombia, era hija del fallecido Enrique Quincos y Custodia Aponte, y también le precedieron en la muerte sus hermanas: Tulia y Matilde y su nieta: María Alexandra.

En 2005, se mudó a los Estados Unidos para estar con su hijo Manuel y debido a su servicio en la Marina de los EE. UU. Vivió en Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Pensilvania y California, haciendo maravillosas amistades en cada estado. Cuando se mudaron a Harrisburg, se convirtió en miembro de la Iglesia Católica St. Francis of Assisi.

Rosita trabajó muy duro toda su vida en todo, e hizo todo lo que pudo para mantener a sus hijos. Su felicidad provenía de tener una casa llena de gente disfrutando de la buena comida y la compañía, escuchando música colombiana y saliendo a caminar a conocer nuevos lugares. A Rosita le encantaba pasar tiempo con su amado nieto, Angelito, hasta sus últimos días.

Le sobreviven sus hijos: Martha Ines, Mario, Miguel Angel, Martin, Luz Mary, Manuel y Yeny Carolina; sus nietos: Isabella Nova, Angel Nicholas, John Alexander, Fabian Andres, Diego Alexander, Sergio Alberto, Mario Andres, Lina Marcela, Jonathan Xavier, Lilibeth Johanna, John Heriberto, Samuel y Luciana; sus bisnietos: Jesus Mathias, Juan Ignacio, Melanie Sofia, Salome, Jonathan Felipe, Valerie Mariana, Mayra Alejandra, Isabella, Dayana del Pilar y Maria Valentina; su hermana: Carmen; su hermano: Enrique; y muchos otros familiares y queridos amigos.

La misa de entierro cristiano se celebrará a las 10:30 a. m. el viernes 4 de febrero de 2022 en la iglesia católica St. Francis of Assisi, 1439 Market Street, Harrisburg, con el reverendo Philip White, Jr., OFM CAP y el reverendo German Quiñones oficiando.

También se celebrará una Misa Memorial a las 5:00 pm el jueves 10 de febrero de 2022 en la Parroquia Santa Teresa de Avila, Cra. 17 #5-38, Floridablanca, Santander, Colombia, seguido colocación de la urna en el columbario de la iglesia .

Rosalbina “Rosita” Quincos-Aponte, 82, Mechanicsburg, passed away Thursday,  January 27, 2022.
Born March 1, 1939 in Tibana, Colombia, she was the daughter of the late Enrique Quincos and Custodia Aponte, and was also preceded in death by her sisters: Tulia and Matilde and her granddaughter:  Maria Alexandra.
In 2005, she moved to the United States to be with her son, Manuel and due to his US Navy service lived in Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Pennsylvania, and California, making wonderful friendships in each state.  When they moved to Harrisburg, she became a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Rosita worked very hard all her life in everything, and did all she could to provide for her children.  Her happiness came from having a house full of people enjoying good food and company, listening to Colombian music, and going for walks to see new places.  Rosita cherished spending time with her beloved grandson, Angelito until her final days.
Surviving are her children:  Martha Ines, Mario, Miguel Angel, Martin, Luz Mary, Manuel, and Yeny Carolina,; her grandchildren:  Isabella Nova, Angel Nicholas, John Alexander, Fabian Andres, Diego Alexander, Sergio Alberto, Mario Andres, Lina Marcela, Jonathan Xavier, Lilibeth Johanna, John Heriberto, Samuel, and Luciana; her great grandchildren:  Jesus Mathias, Juan Ignacio, Melanie Sofia, Salome, Jonathan Felipe, Valerie Mariana, Mayra Alejandra, Isabella, Dayana del Pilar, and Maria Valentina; her sister:  Carmen; her brother:  Enrique; and many other family members and dear friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am on Friday,  February 4, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi  Catholic Church, 1439 Market Street, Harrisburg, with The Rev. Philip White, Jr., OFM CAP and The Rev. German Quinones officiating.
A Memorial Mass will also be celebrated at 5:00 pm Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Parroquia Santa Teresa de Avila, Cra. 17 #5-38, Floridablanca, Santander, Colombia, followed by placement of the urn in the church columbarium.
