Rosemary Choudry, 55, East Pennsboro Township, was freed from her battle with cancer by her Lord on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Carolyn’s House in Susquehanna Township.
Born April 28, 1962 in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Ewald and Ann Helen (Flach) Langenfeld and was a graduate of Hudson High School. Following graduation, she attended nursing school and worked as a Nurse Assistant in a nursing home in Ohio for some time. More recently, she was an employee of Big Lots in Harrisburg.
Rosie’s faith was an important part of her life, and she taught Sunday School when her girls were young. Mostly, she was a loving mother who attended all her daughters’ soccer games and was looking forward to her first granddaughter, due this September.
She enjoyed traveling around Europe and the Middle East, and experimenting with her own version of cooking; often just adding ingredients rather than following a recipe. She loved all animals, especially bunnies and birds, and had quite a collection of stuffed animals.
Surviving are her two daughters: Suryia A. Choudry, Mechanicsburg and Magdelena H. White (and her husband, Timothy), Grantville; 2 brothers: Awald Langenfeld and Chuck Langenfeld, both in Akron; nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
A memorial service will be held at the German Family Society in Akron, where she and her family attended for generations, to be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
Kimmel Funeral Home, Harrisburg, is handling arrangements.
