Ruperto “Macho” Garcia III, 31, Harrisburg, passed away as the result of an accident on Friday, January 20, 2017 in Washington Township.
Born June 16, 1985 in Hershey, he was the son of Miriam M. Colon, Harrisburg and Ruperto Garcia, Jr., Harrisburg; and was a graduate of Harrisburg High School.
He was employed by Burger King in Mechanicsburg and had worked for Valvoline in Lemoyne. He also was a carpenter and installed tile.
Ruperto was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan; loved playing Little League baseball as a kid and liked Reggaeton music. He loved his family and friends and, growing up in Hall Manor, was always friendly and social.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children: Janessa Garcia, Camp Hill, Joshua Garcia, Camp Hill, Nevaeh Garcia, Newville, Selena Morales, Camp Hill, and baby Jabril; siblings: Pedro “David” Vega, Harrisburg, Alice Vega, Harrisburg, Christian Garcia, South Miami, and Janice Garcia, South Miami; his paternal grandparents: Ruperto Garcia Sr. and Francisca Falero, New York; maternal grandfather: Luis Colon, Puerto Rico; his friends: Elmer Holmes, Freddie Malave and José Pinela; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces , nephews and beloved friends.
Services will be held 11:00 Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Kimmel Funeral Home, 2001 Market Street, Harrisburg, with his grandfather, Rev. Ruperto Garcia, Sr. officiating.
Friends will be received from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
