Teodoro Colon

Teodoro Colon, 81, Harrisburg, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Spring Creek Nursing Home.

Born April 5, 1938 in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, he was the only child of the late Asuncion Santos, and was also preceded in death by his daughters, Luz Martiza, Luisa Andujar Colon and Maria Teresa Colon and his beloved wife of 61 years, Andrea Olivieri.

A carpenter by trade, Teodoro was incredibly creative and could fix anything. He enjoyed working with his hands and had the mind of an engineer and ability of a master craftsman. Mostly, he was a family man whose greatest joy came from caring for his wife and family.

Surviving are his 7 children, Isodoro Colon, York, Juan Raymond Colon, Harrisburg, Carmen Virginia Colon, Harrisburg, Maria Asuncion Colon, Harrisburg, Isaias Colon, Harrisburg, Lydia Esther Colon, Hartford, CT and Alexandra Rivera Colon, York; 28 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren.

Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Kimmel Funeral Home, 2001 Market Street, Harrisburg, with the Rev. José Enrique Cruz officiating. Friends will be received from 10:00 am until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial in William Howard Day Cemetery will be held at a later date.
