Vicki Fay Lego, 62, Swatara Township, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Hershey Medical Center.
Born July 20, 1958 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Stephen B. Lego, Jr. and Hilda J. (Emswiler) Lego and was also preceded in death by her Uncle and Aunt, Sam and Doris Lego.
Vicki was a 1976 graduate of Central Dauphin High School and worked for PennDOT. She had been a long time member at Pine Street Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg, and was attending St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Annville.
Vicki loved dogs and all animals, especially her dog, Toby and her beloved beagle, Nick. She was an expert on movie, television and music trivia and enjoyed card games and crossword puzzles. Vicki was also very creative in jewelry making and knitting; loved all music, especially rock and roll; and volunteered with the elderly and in her church with children.
She sincerely cared for her friends and family, who provided much joy for her. As her dear friends expressed, “…when Vicki was your friend, she was your friend for life.” She made friends everywhere she went, including at her job. She loved her family and always cherished family outings and spending time with them.
She is dearly missed.
Surviving is her sister: Wendy Kay Lego Roberts (and her husband, Gary); her significant other: Joe Smith; Nephews: James Calkins (and his wife, Kristen and their daughter, Madelyn), Brandon Calkins and Chad Calkins (and his wife, Sabrina); her cousins: Mike and Carol Putt, Charles Putt and Cherie Putt; Jay and Betty Lego, Kimberly Chang (and her husband, Landon), Jennifer George, and Michelle Macalalag (and her husband, Renz); Robin Lego (and his wife, Deborah); Collin Lego; Phyllis McKitrick (husband, Edward, deceased); and many dear friends.
A funeral service will be held 12:00 pm Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 125 S. Spruce Street, Annville with Father Kevin J. Coyle, officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg. A livestream link will be available at https://stpaulsinannville.org/ , click on the Facebook live link. No Facebook account is needed.
Friends will be received from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Kimmel Funeral Home, 2001 Market Street, Harrisburg. Covid-19 protocols of face coverings and social distancing will be required.
